PROJECT OVERVIEW
■ ■ ■
ALS successfully mobilised a SL60 Enerpac gantry from Perth to South Australia to remove four 38-tonne glass forming machines and reinstall four new 38-tonne glass forming machines. The operation required precision and expertise, given the confined space and the complexity of the lifts.
Our team managed the complete scope from mobilisation through to final installation, ensuring minimal disruption to the client’s ongoing operations.

GLASS FORMING MACHINE REPLACEMENT
ALS successfully mobilised a SL60 Enerpac gantry from Perth to South Australia to remove four 38-tonne glass forming machines and reinstall four new 38-tonne glass forming machines.
LIFTING AND JACKING
Our team utilised advanced lifting and jacking techniques to safely and efficiently handle the heavy glass forming machines. The precision and control offered by our equipment were crucial in managing the delicate operations within confined spaces.
GANTRY SYSTEM
The SL60 Enerpac gantry was central to the operation, providing the necessary lifting capacity and stability to remove the old machines and install the new ones.
TRANSPORT
ALS managed the transport of the SL60 Enerpac gantry from Perth to South Australia, ensuring that all logistical challenges were met and that the equipment arrived on site ready for immediate deployment.
KEY RISKS
The project involved complex lifts within a confined space, with the added challenge of maneuvering equipment with limited space. Potential risks included damage to the plant, buildings, and new equipment. Utmost care was taken to mitigate these risks.
KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
The project was completed without any incidents and ahead of schedule. The removal of the four old glass forming machines and installation of the new ones reduced the replacement time by two weeks. The project was completed on time and within budget.
OTHER DETAILS
The successful execution of this project demonstrated ALS’s ability to deliver complex and time-sensitive projects safely, efficiently, and within budget.
